Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine medical urgency
- Accurately document patient information and symptoms in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care plans
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance to patients and families during stressful situations
- Adhere to established triage protocols and emergency department procedures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina RN or LPN license (required)
- Recent nursing graduate or career changer welcome
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided)
- Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
