Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments
- Manage patient records using digital dental software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Assist in restorative procedures including fillings, crowns, and impressions
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or registered status in NC
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Experience with digital dental record management systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
