Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict OSHA compliance protocols
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform chairside assistance with precision
- Manage patient scheduling, digital charting, and insurance documentation using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patient comfort throughout appointments
- Order inventory, manage supply chains, and maintain clinical equipment
- Mentor new assistants and uphold our practice's gold standards of care
Qualifications
- Active DANB certification or state Dental Assistant license required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sidexis) and infection control protocols
- CPR/BLS certification and knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional patient communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover occasional evenings/weekends as needed
