Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of equipment
- Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout treatments
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, charting, and insurance verification
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography and digital imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols (OSHA/CDC standards)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with Eaglesoft or DentalWorks software preferred
