Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatments and assist dentists during complex procedures
- Perform chairside assistance including instrument transfer and suction management
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Deliver post-procedure care instructions and oral hygiene education
- Order inventory and manage supply room organization
- Coordinate seamless patient flow between exam rooms
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and sterilization systems
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage sensitive patient situations with empathy
- Experience with dental practice management software
