Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and prepare prescription orders under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Adhere to strict regulatory standards and pharmacy protocols
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1) for efficient operations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Alaska Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and math skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
