Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering patient inquiries about medications and side effects
- Prepare IV admixtures and sterile compounds following aseptic technique protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care transitions
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience in retail or hospital setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy for medication calculations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Basic understanding of sterile compounding procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
