Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Maintain precise patient records and medication information using pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education on medication usage
- Ensure strict compliance with FDA, DEA, and NY State pharmacy regulations
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient therapy outcomes
Qualifications
- Active NY State Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Certification (PTCB) preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
