Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for patient care coordination
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician certification
- Minimum 1-year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency with pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Valid CPR certification preferred
