Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to state and federal regulations.
- Assist the pharmacist in verifying prescriptions and checking for drug interactions.
- Manage inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing monthly counts.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription history.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing software systems accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and resolving issues.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from PTCB or ExCPT.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed.
