Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage prescription documentation
- Maintain inventory control and medication storage compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient counseling support
- Utilize pharmacy software for order processing and record-keeping
- Assist in compounding sterile/non-sterile preparations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prescription verification
- Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of pharmacy experience preferred
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
