Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all insurance types
- Code medical procedures using ICD-10 and CPT standards
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance company follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate monthly revenue reports for department leadership
- Train new billing staff on company protocols
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing rules
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
