Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Oversee 15+ daily phone triage calls with critical decision-making authority
- Collaborate with ER physicians to prioritize patient flow and resource allocation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 99.7% documentation accuracy
- Mentor junior staff on trauma triage best practices and crisis communication
- Implement telehealth triage solutions for remote patient monitoring
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for patient safety
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of emergency department or critical care nursing experience
- Current Maryland RN license with BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Advanced triage certification (ENPC or TNCC preferred)
- Proven expertise in rapid patient assessment and critical decision-making
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR systems and telehealth platforms
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
