Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment according to surgical protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Monitor patient vital signs and maintain sterile fields throughout operations
- Perform proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment
- Document surgical procedures and equipment usage accurately
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work in high-pressure emergency situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
