Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and document intraoperative observations
- Manage surgical supplies and inventory to ensure optimal readiness
- Adhere to OSHA and Joint Commission safety protocols
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in general surgery
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrument care
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
