Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process, label, and transport specimens ensuring chain-of-custody integrity
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Adhere strictly to OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide patient education and reassurance during procedures
- Collaborate with lab teams for efficient specimen handling
- Manage inventory and equipment calibration
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficient in specimen processing and handling protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
