Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols (ESI, ATP) within 5 minutes of arrival
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to prioritize critical cases
- Document assessments in Epic EHR with 100% accuracy
- Provide clear communication to patients/families during emergency situations
- Oversee patient flow in fast-paced ED with 40+ daily admissions
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and CMS regulations
Qualifications
- Active IL RN license with 3+ years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- Expertise in rapid assessment of cardiac, neurological, and trauma cases
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and triage technology platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking under pressure
- BSN or MSN degree preferred
