Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care plans
- Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems with HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Oversee patient flow and prioritize cases based on clinical protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Proven triage experience in emergency or urgent care setting
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies
- BSN degree preferred
