Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide clinical guidance to patients and families using evidence-based protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient flow
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in Epic EHR system
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining empathy and professionalism
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current MN RN license with active BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years emergency or urgent care experience
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities across diverse populations
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
