Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year innovation roadmaps for quantum AI and synthetic biology sectors
- Lead cross-disciplinary R&D initiatives targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify breakthrough investment opportunities
- Design ethical frameworks for next-gen autonomous systems
- Present strategic vision to C-suite stakeholders and government innovation councils
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years in strategic innovation or technology foresight roles
- Proven track record in scaling from R&D to market deployment
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, AI ethics)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed innovation journals
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/SHRM)
- Experience securing federal innovation grants exceeding $5M
