Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps integrating quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, and synthetic biology
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and commercial teams
- Identify and evaluate emerging tech trends through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Secure $10M+ annual innovation funding through investor pitches and grant applications
- Develop patent portfolios protecting core IP in next-gen human-machine interfaces
- Mentor a diverse team of 12+ engineers and researchers through quarterly hackathons
- Publish thought leadership in IEEE and Nature Technology journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Bioengineering, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record scaling tech innovations from prototype to commercial deployment
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech)
- Published research in top-tier journals or conference proceedings
- Experience managing $5M+ R&D budgets with P&L responsibility
- Strong network with academic institutions and venture capital firms
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulation frameworks
