Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate breakthrough technologies with 2026+ market potential through patent analysis, academic research, and startup scouting
- Develop multi-generational technology roadmaps aligning with UN SDGs and national innovation priorities
- Lead cross-functional 'Horizon Scanning' teams to assess geopolitical and regulatory impacts on emerging tech
- Architect ethical frameworks for AI/quantum deployment ensuring alignment with EU AI Act and US regulatory standards
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite executives and board members quarterly with actionable recommendations
- Manage $5M annual innovation fund for pilot programs and strategic partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, Bioengineering, or related field with 10+ years in tech strategy
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (demonstrated via patents or product launches)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum computing architectures, or synthetic biology
- Experience advising Fortune 500 CTOs or government technology councils
- Published author in Nature/Science or equivalent-tier journals on future tech implications
- Fluency in Mandarin, Arabic, or Spanish for global stakeholder engagement
- Certification in Futures Studies (from WFS or equivalent) preferred
