Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Monitor global tech policy developments and their impact on innovation strategy
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal innovation culture
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or emerging tech analysis
- Proven track record forecasting and commercializing breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, generative AI, or climate tech
- Strong network with tech research institutions and venture capital firms
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience scaling innovative products from prototype to market
