Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 2026 technology strategy roadmap aligned with business objectives
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AR/VR) and assess market viability
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype and validate next-gen solutions
- Build strategic alliances with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Present technology insights to C-suite executives and investors
- Drive innovation culture through internal hackathons and R&D initiatives
- Monitor ethical implications of emerging technologies and ensure responsible deployment
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership roles
- Proven track record in forecasting tech trends and commercializing innovations
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum computing, AI, biotech)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong network within Silicon Valley and global tech innovation ecosystems
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
- Experience securing $5M+ in R&D funding or partnerships
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to stakeholders
