Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, biohybrid systems, autonomous infrastructure)
- Lead cross-functional R&D sprints with MIT/Stanford affiliates to prototype 2026-viable solutions
- Secure $10M+ in innovation grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Author white papers cited by Gartner and World Economic Forum on tech ethics
- Build strategic partnerships with NASA, Google X, and EU Horizon Europe initiatives
- Mentor a 15-person 'Future Labs' team through quarterly hackathons and patent submissions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- Proven track record securing $5M+ in government/private innovation funding
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in futures forecasting (Foresight Institute, WEF Global Future Councils)
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, or equivalent with 3+ patents
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Experience scaling startups from Series A to IPO (e.g., Stripe, Airbnb)
