Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal impact through 2030
- Develop horizon-scanning frameworks to identify disruptive market opportunities
- Create strategic roadmaps for product innovation aligned with 2026+ future scenarios
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed foresight into organizational DNA
- Produce trend reports and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Partner with R&D to prioritize R&D investments with 5-10 year horizons
- Monitor geopolitical shifts and regulatory changes affecting innovation landscapes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, R&D, or futurist consulting
- Portfolio demonstrating published trend analysis or scenario-planning projects
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methods, and systemic trend mapping
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their convergence
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to influence C-level strategy with data-driven foresight
