Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal trends through 2026
- Develop and operationalize innovation roadmaps aligned with long-term organizational vision
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into actionable R&D priorities
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and policy influencers
- Present future scenarios to executive stakeholders and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Oversee pilot programs for emerging technologies with $5M+ annual innovation budget
- Publish thought leadership on future trends in industry journals and conferences
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-focused strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology adoption curves
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems and academic circles
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex future visions
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Experience managing cross-functional innovation teams and budgets
