Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, market trends, and societal shifts impacting 2026-2030
- Develop and maintain a strategic foresight framework using scenario planning, trend analysis, and Delphi methods
- Translate future intelligence into actionable strategic roadmaps for R&D, product development, and market expansion
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with executive teams to align organizational vision with future possibilities
- Author quarterly FutureState Briefings distributed to board members and key stakeholders
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and academic researchers
- Champion innovation culture through internal 'Future Forward' speaker series and hackathons
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or future-focused roles
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex future concepts to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futures or innovation journals (IEEE, HBR, etc.)
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, STEEPLE, Wild Cards analysis)
- Experience leading cross-organizational strategic initiatives with measurable impact
