Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends, regulatory landscapes, and socioeconomic indicators to forecast 2026+ market disruptions
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for enterprise adaptation to climate crisis, AI governance, and workforce automation
- Lead cross-functional workshops translating foresight into product roadmaps and investment priorities
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to capture early-stage opportunities
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports for executive board with quantifiable risk/opportunity metrics
- Design organizational resilience protocols for systemic shocks and black swan events
- Mentor junior futurists while maintaining thought leadership through industry publications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech trend analysis
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario modeling, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Proven track record translating foresight into commercial strategies or policy frameworks
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating published forecasts with validated accuracy metrics
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum, AGI, synthetic biology) and ethical implications
- Experience advising Fortune 500 executives on strategic adaptation to disruptive forces
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS) or equivalent analytical rigor
