Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify disruptive opportunities for 2026 market readiness
- Architect innovation roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Partner with C-suite to align organizational strategy with emerging technological paradigms
- Establish KPIs for innovation maturity and ROI of future-focused initiatives
- Present findings to executive board and industry thought leadership forums
- Mentor internal 'futures incubator' teams on exponential thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or futures research with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Expertise in scenario planning and system dynamics modeling
- Published thought leadership in tech foresight (Harvard/MIT/MIT Press preferred)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Fluency in strategic foresight tools (e.g., Delphi, STEEP-LE, causal layered analysis)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex future scenarios
- Portfolio of implemented future-shaping initiatives with measurable impact
