Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging trends, technologies, and paradigm shifts impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop strategic frameworks for client innovation roadmaps spanning 3-5 year horizons
- Conduct scenario planning workshops with C-suite executives to prepare for disruptive futures
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership on future-of-work, AI ethics, and sustainable tech
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists for prototype development
- Present foresight insights to global stakeholders at industry conferences and board meetings
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology strategy
- Proven track record of developing future-ready frameworks for Fortune 500 clients
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to translate complex futures into actionable strategies
- Certification in Foresight Methodology (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists)
- Experience with scenario planning tools and foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEPLE)
- Portfolio demonstrating published future-state analyses or innovation roadmaps
