Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including implant placements and cosmetic restorations
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging using advanced systems like Carestream CS 7600
- Implement strict sterilization protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize chairside efficiency for 15+ daily appointments
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix software
- Train new staff on practice protocols and infection control procedures
- Conduct inventory management for high-value materials like zirconia blocks and bonding agents
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA with 3+ years of experience
- Advanced certification in nitrous oxide monitoring and coronal polishing
- Proficiency with digital radiography and CBCT systems
- Experience with cosmetic dentistry workflows and smile design cases
- Proven ability to manage high-volume patient schedules
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy laws
- Associates degree in Dental Assisting preferred
