Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments/equipment following strict protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce OR safety standards
- Document surgical cases accurately in EMR systems
- Inventory and restock operating room supplies efficiently
- Transport patients safely to/from surgical suites
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams seamlessly
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain current)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Proficiency with sterile processing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
- Pass background/drug screening pre-employment
