Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including implant placement and orthodontics
- Perform advanced chairside duties: four-handed dentistry, suction control, and instrument transfer
- Manage digital radiography systems (CBCT, panoramic) and intraoral cameras
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for 5+ operatories
- Train new assistants on practice-specific protocols and technologies
- Coordinate with labs for prosthetic cases and digital workflows
- Lead patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current Florida Dental Radiography License and DANB certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cosmetic/restorative dentistry
- Expertise in digital dentistry workflows (Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Proven ability to manage high-volume patient schedules
- Exceptional communication skills for patient rapport and team collaboration
- Experience with implant and orthodontic procedures
- Spanish/English bilingual proficiency preferred
