Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging with precision
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies and equipment
- Delve patient education on post-procedure care and oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or RDAEF preferred)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general/cosmetic dentistry
- Expertise in digital radiography and CBCT imaging systems
- Proficiency with practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for complex procedures
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
