Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications with zero-error tolerance
- Manage prescription processing from intake to final verification
- Collaborate with pharmacists on patient consultations and medication therapy
- Maintain strict inventory control and DEA compliance protocols
- Utilize advanced pharmacy software for prescription management
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Train new technicians on established safety procedures
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Expertise in medication compounding and IV preparation
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail with error prevention skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Current CPR certification
