Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescribed medications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing drugs and providing information to patients.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceuticals.
- Verify patient information and process insurance claims efficiently.
- Assist with the maintenance of the pharmacy computer system and patient records.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current state licensure as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
