Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies to maintain optimal levels.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure proper billing and regulatory compliance.
- Assist customers with medication questions and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Perform compounding tasks and sterile preparations when required to support clinical needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
