Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection with precision and care
- Process and label specimens according to strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in HIPAA-compliant systems
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of biological samples
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient experience
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and infection control procedures
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid Arizona Phlebotomy Technician license
- Proven expertise in pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-venipuncture techniques
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities
