Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary draws with high accuracy and patient comfort in mind.
- Verify patient identification and explain drawing procedures to reduce anxiety.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Properly label, log, and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (e.g., ASCP, CPT) or equivalent.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License and clean driving record.
