Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Review and resolve claim denials through systematic appeals processes
- Ensure accurate coding using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards
- Manage patient accounts receivable and payment arrangements
- Conduct insurance eligibility verification prior to services
- Stay current with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA compliance and billing regulations
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and NextGen billing systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Excellent communication skills for patient and payer interactions
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
