Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Operate automated analyzers and point-of-care testing equipment
- Maintain sterile work environments and quality control documentation
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume collections
- Collaborate with lab technicians on specimen handling procedures
- Train new staff on phlebotomy best practices
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (PTC)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proven expertise in pediatric and geriatric blood collection
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety protocols
- Experience with LIS/HIS systems (Cerner preferred)
- CPR certification with current BLS credentials
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
