Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and minimal discomfort
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory facilities while maintaining chain of custody
- Maintain accurate patient records using our advanced EHR system
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations
- Train and mentor junior phlebotomists on best practices
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Certification as Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP or NHA) required
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in high-volume settings
- Expertise in pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-stick protocols
- Valid Arizona State Phlebotomy License
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proven ability to maintain composure during emergency situations
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
