Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields in fast-paced OR environments
- Assist in complex neurosurgical and trauma procedures with precision
- Manage surgical equipment sterilization and inventory per AORN standards
- Collaborate with surgeons and nurses during critical operations
- Implement strict infection control protocols in compliance with OSHA
- Train junior staff on advanced surgical technology systems
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 3 years experience in Level I trauma center
- Expertise in neurosurgical instrumentation and procedures
- BLS/CPR certification with current ACLS preferred
- Proficiency with robotic surgical systems (e.g., da Vinci)
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure emergency situations
- Associates degree in Surgical Technology from accredited program
