Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress notes
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in shift-to-shift reporting and handover processes
- Maintain sterile techniques during procedures and medication administration
- Support patient education and discharge planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and specialty certifications as required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
