Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections at patient homes and designated collection sites
- Provide remote pre-procedure guidance and post-collection support via telehealth platforms
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Document patient interactions and specimen data using our proprietary mobile health system
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize collection schedules and patient communication
- Train patients on home collection procedures through virtual demonstrations
- Maintain inventory of remote collection supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and mobile health documentation systems
- Valid Ohio driver's license with reliable transportation for home visits
- Exceptional patient communication skills via virtual channels
- CPR/BLS certification from recognized provider
- Ability to work independently while adhering to remote monitoring protocols
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric blood collection techniques
