Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care urgency using established triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop efficient patient care pathways
- Utilize advanced EHR systems to document assessments and coordinate care seamlessly
- Provide expert guidance to patients and families during critical decision-making moments
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and initiate emergency interventions when necessary
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and Nebraska state nursing regulations
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska RN license with unrestricted practice privileges
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or critical care experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
- Advanced certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or Triage (CATRN)
- Exceptional critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Proven expertise in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Demonstrated excellence in high-stress communication scenarios
