Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using clinical judgment protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways and interventions
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Oversee triage workflow coordination across multiple emergency departments
- Mentor junior staff on triage best practices and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee with minimum 3 years ED or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in rapid assessment and critical decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious situations
- Mastery of EHR systems (Epic preferred) and medical terminology
- BSN or higher degree strongly preferred
