Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate patient disposition and treatment pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed clinical documentation
- Provide compassionate care to patients while maintaining departmental efficiency standards
- Train and mentor junior nursing staff on triage procedures and emergency protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with 3+ years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with relevant experience considered
- Proven ability to work under pressure with exceptional critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills for effective patient/family interactions
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
