Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize ED cases using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient treatment plans
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and real-time patient tracking
- Provide education to patients and families regarding triage procedures and ED processes
- Maintain compliance with TJC, CMS, and California Department of Public Health standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization projects
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California with minimum 3 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Expertise in rapid assessment of complex medical emergencies
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience working in high-volume trauma centers preferred
